Walkers are spoilt for choice in Cornwall. The aim of this book is to take you to the most spectacular scenery the county has to offer. Magnificent coastline and wild moorland contrast with delightful villages and pockets of verdant woodland.

A Dozen Dramatic Walks in Cornwall guides you on twelve outstanding circular routes. Stunning photography and clear, unambiguous route descriptions, together with details of local refreshment stops, places to stay and nearby places of interest, are all designed to make for the ultimate day out.

History notes, authors’ tips and pointers on natural history are also included.

The Dozen Dramatic Walks series finds great favour with photographers who discover plenty of subject matter along these superb routes.

This title was a runner-up in the Holyer an Gof (Publishers) Awards 2012. It received many plaudits from the assessors for its photography, descriptive and informative content, layout and design. It was described as a walking book for Cornwall's countryside that "stands out from all the others".

They said:

This book stood out because it follows a pattern that the authors have used elsewhere and in this case have applied to Cornwall. It’s a delightful, A5 book which you can put in your pocket. It has a nice glossy cover and, in keeping with “A Dozen Dramatic Walks”, a nice dramatic cover – Kynance Cove, which fits the title. There are lots of very good photographs. The particular thing about it is the layout which has been really well thought out. As well as the described routes there are quick reference sections plus the lengths of the walks, refreshments, parking and all the things you really need to know plus sketch maps. The layout is such that you can read the rest of the description and the layout doesn’t get in the way. I’ll just quote one reader to show how enthusiastic we are. “I tried one of the walks and it was definitely dramatic as the title describes, the route was easy to follow and well described. It’s clearly in a market for those who like walking and aimed to some extent at the holiday market, but in that sense I think it is a good advert for Cornwall.”
