Errors on the web site
If there is an under pricing error on the web site we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the incorrect price.
Usually when this occurs the price is just out of date by £1.00 or so, and in these cases of small price differences we will supply the product at the price on the web site. But if there is a serious error in pricing of an item we will hold your order, correct the price on the web site, and ask if you would like to purchase the item at the correct price. Your order will not be despatched until you have agreed the correct price. If you decide to cancel your order any charges already made to your card will be refunded in full.
Please note that images on the web site are only a guide to the product - manufacturers can change colours and specifications without notice and if a product (such as a framed map) needs to fit in a specific place please contact us first to confirm the current sizes if a few centimetres or an inch or two will make a difference.
We're a small business and any queries or problems can usually be resolved in 24-48 hours. Just telephone or email Stephen Colebrooke with details of your problem.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included in the price for standard rated items. Books and most maps are zero rated and not liable for VAT.
Credit Card Security
Your payments are fully secure.
The payment pages are hosted on a separate secure site and we do not see your credit card details.
We have been selling maps and guides in Southern England since 1981 and have been on the Internet since 1995. As far as we are aware, none of our customers have ever had credit card details stolen or abused when buying products from our business.
You can order in confidence. If your order is not up to your expectations you may return your purchase for a full refund within 10 days of receipt. (But please see our Returns Policy for customised products and framed maps).
For a full refund, the non-faulty book or map must be returned in mint, unused condition, in our original packing. Non-faulty goods not required by the customer are returned at the customer's expense & risk - please ensure you send all returns by recorded delivery.
In many cases your map or book etc will have to be returned direct to a supplier - please contact us before sending any item back so we can advise you of the correct returns address.
Please note CD-ROMs & digital products are not supplied on a trial basis and we cannot accept returns of non-faulty CD-ROM or digital products unless the package is unopened and the software seal is intact. Please ensure that you are fully aware of the specifications for system requirements and that the CD-ROM or digital product will provide the information you need. Technical information about the CD-ROMs on our web site is provided by the publishers. If any further information is required before purchasing a product we will be happy to take this up with the appropriate publisher before accepting your order.
We will not be held liable for any financial or consequential loss arising from the late or non-delivery of an order or for any mistake on the web site or in the processing of any order. Contracts between you and us shall be subject to the Law of England and Wales.
Faulty and Damaged Goods
We must be notified of damaged goods or discrepancies within 10 days of receipt and we will arrange return or replacement at our expense.
Faulty goods can be returned within any reasonable time. Please contact us as soon as the fault is identified and we will advise you of the procedure for your product.
In the event of your order arriving with the packaging clearly damaged please do not accept delivery from the carrier until you have inspected your order. If the product you ordered is damaged please refuse delivery and report this to us. Sometimes products are damaged although the outside packaging looks OK. Please open your parcel as soon as possible, we must be notified of damaged goods or discrepancies within 2 days of receipt. Please contact us before returning any product.
We need to be advised of non-delivery within 7 days of the expected delivery time.
In the rare event that your order is lost in the post it will be replaced as soon as possible at our expense (subject to available stocks) or a full refund will be arranged.
Please note that no refunds or replacements can be made unless a claim is made within a reasonable time following despatch.
Product not required
If your order is not up to your expectations you may return your purchase for a refund within 10 days of receipt. (Except digital and downloadable maps, cd-products which have been opened, personalised, bespoke and customised products (including our design-your-own-map service) which have been specially made for the customer and are not returnable. Please note that all framed maps are customised products and individually made for each customer and also not returnable). For a refund, the non-faulty product must be returned in mint, unused condition. Non-faulty goods not required by the customer are returned at the customer's expense and risk. Please ensure you send all returns by recorded delivery or a carrier with sufficient insurance to cover in case of damage in transit.
CD-ROMs and digital products are not supplied on a trial basis and we cannot accept returns of non-faulty CD-ROM or digital products unless the package is unopened and the software seal is intact.
Orders paid for by credit card will have a refund made to the credit card. (Our postage charges will not be refunded on non-faulty goods).
Many items are sent direct from our suppliers so please contact us before sending your item back so we give you the correct returns address for your product.
