The area centres on Loch Lomond, but extends eastwards as far as Callander, including the well known hills Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich. The popular mountain biking area of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Loch Ard is all included. To the north the mapping extends to cover the hills around Crianlarich. In the west, the Arrochar Alps the Luss Hills and the Cowal peninsula down to Strone are all included.
