| Shipping Large Maps or Globes Overseas or Off-Shore |
Please note that shipping charges in your shopping cart are for deliveries by 1st class post or carrier to a mainland** address in Great Britain, or small items (folded maps, small rolled maps & light to medium books) by 1st class post or air-mail to off-shore or overseas countries.
(**Mainland GB is defined by carriers as excluding Scottish Highlands & Islands. If your postcode falls within the following postcodes HS; IM; IV; KA27-KA28; KW; PA20-PA50; PA60-PA78; PH 17-PH44; ZE; the following prices are applicable to items which have to be sent by carrier. Items which can be sent by standard Royal Mail are not affected).
Larger items such as rolled wall maps longer than 90cm (including packaging) have to be despatched by carrier at much higher prices than standard air-mail and the shopping cart program cannot show these higher charges which are very individual to the product depending on the weight, dimensions and destination.
Most framed maps cannot be sent long distances overseas, they are too vulnerable to damage.
Some globes can be sent to European countries, but at a higher price.
If you would like a quote to ship a product to Scottish Highlands and Islands or off-shore or overseas please place an order in the usual way but on the payment page, choose the "Telephone or fax your card details" option.
This means you will bypass the card processing page and upon receipt of your order we will email you a Pro-Forma invoice containing the correct shipping cost to an off-shore or overseas address. (Ignore the first email you will receive immediately on placing your order - this is the automated order acknowledgement and will show the cost of shipping by air-mail for normal sized products).
