Our delivery charges are below. To obtain a running total including the delivery charge add a title to your shopping basket (you can remove it later) and click Checkout Now.

You will then be taken to the start of the checkout process. Under the "Select Invoice Location" heading you can specify your delivery destination. Click "Next" and the
next page will show your order with the delivery charge added.

Just click the Back Button on your browser 2-3 times to return to shopping. If you add any more items to your shopping basket the delivery cost will now be automatically updated.

URGENT ORDERS
Many items on our web site can be ordered by next-day delivery (subject to available stock). Please ensure next-day delivery orders are received by 12.00 noon. Next-day delivery (mainland GB only) is £ 7.50 (£ 8.81 inc.VAT).

LARGER ITEMS and LONG WALL MAPS
(to off-shore & overseas destinations)
Owing to the risk of damage, we do not ship globes, framed maps and raised relief wall maps to countries outside mainland Great Britain.

Packages longer than 90cm* cannot be shipped outside mainland GB by Royal Mail and can only be shipped by carrier at a much higher cost - please confirm in the Special Delivery Instructions that you would like a quote for the carrier shipping costs. We will not despatch your order until you have agreed to the revised shipping charge.

(* Packaging will take a 90cm map beyond the 90cm Royal Mail limit, so if you want a wall map to be sent by standard shipping to an off-shore or overseas destination please choose a wall map with the longest dimension less than 85cm).

DELIVERY CHARGES
Standard Delivery Charges are based on the value of your order as follows. VAT is charged on the delivery if your order contains an item subject to VAT. Books and maps are zero rated for VAT and the delivery charge does not contain VAT for these items. VAT will however be charged for delivery if your order includes an item which is fully VAT rated (such as a globe or cd-rom).

UK
Prices are for standard 1st Class Post. A carrier is used for larger items to mainland GB at the same prices. See above for deliveries to off-shore locations for larger items and long wall maps.*

Heavy items (very large books, large format atlases etc) will be despatched by surface mail for the same prices. Delivery by surface mail to Western Europe can be up to two weeks and to Eastern Europe surface mail can be up to five weeks.
